Community Section;
- News- The news section is where any local news and information can be posted. Many county swap sites have a RSS news feed.
- Sports- The sports section is for local sports news, scores, and information from youth thru college and even adult sports.
- Education- This is where information about schools, school news, updates, announcements, and more can be posted.
- Events- The events section is for upcoming community events and community information.
- Obituaries- Postings of local obituaries from news, funeral homes, families, and individuals.
- Church Directory- Local directory of churches and religious organizations.
- Weather- Most counties will have RSS weather feeds from the Weather Channel.
- Community Tools- This is for any tools that are valuable to the community such as maps, tourism, etc.
Business Directory
- Directory of local businesses and their services and products.
- Only local county and surrounding business allowed.
- Listings will not expire.
Jobs/Employment
- Listing of local job and employment openings and people seeking employment.
- This is not for business listings.
- Listings appear for 30 days.
Yard Sales
- We want to be the source for all yard sales in the community. Listings can be posted up to 14 days in advance.

How to use the site
Using our site is very easy and it only takes a minute to register. Our registration process is important in order to keep out spammers. There is no need to register if you only intend to browse listings. Registration is only needed to post and reply to a listing.
Step 1- Getting to the site
- Enter the address of your local swap site in your address bar of your browser. We will use Giles Swap as our example.
Step 2- Finding the register link
- Find the register link in the upper right of the page.
Step 3- Entering registration information
- Fill in the information such as desired username, email, first and last name, and enter the letters in the CAPTCHA for security.
- Click Submit and an email will be sent shortly with your temporary password needed to log into the site.
Step 4- Retrieving your password and logging in
- Check your email box for the password.
- The password can be changed once you log into the site.
- Go back to the swap site.
- Click the Login button located beside the register button.
- Enter your username and password. Click OK.
Step 5- Posting an Ad
- Click Submit Ad
Step 6- Choosing a Category
- Choose the category from the drop down box.
Step 7- Entering the Information
- Fill in all fields on the page.
- Each different category may have unique fields such as real estate may have acres, square footage, etc.
- Fill as many fields as possible.
Step 8- Adding a Picture
- Click the browse button by the picture field.
- User the windows folder to locate your picture.
- Double Click the picture or click the picture and click open.
- Once you submit your add, the pictures will upload.
Step 9- Finalizing Ad
- Double check all information.
- Enter the CAPTCHA Validation letters for security.
- Click ok
If there is an error the page will reload. If no error it will let you know that your ad has been submitted.
You will be able to view your ad right away.
Step 10- Editing Your Ad
- Log into the site
- Click your ad
- Click the edit button on the top right
- Change any information needed.
- Click ok
Step 11- Deleting Your Ad
- Log into the site
- Click your ad
- Click the delete button on the top right
- It will confirm deletion
- Click ok
Frequently asked questions and help topics
Q. I did not receive an email with my password, what do I do?
A. Check your to ensure your username is correct. It is case sensitive.
Click the forgot password link on the login screen to receive a new password.
If you do not get an email your email address could be incorrectly entered.
Send us an email and we will reset your password. Click here to email us.
Please enter the site you are having the issue in the notes section of the email.
Q. I cannot upload my image.
A. We have a 2MB file size limit. The picture may be too large. Check the files size by right clicking the image and clicking properties.
If it is over 2,000K, it is too large. Use a photo software to edit the size and quality to 2,000k or less.
We suggest a picture size of about 800px wide by 600px tall.
Q. What software should I use to edit my pictures?
A. We use Photoshop and Fireworks from Adobe. These are paid products.
There are many great free programs out there as well.
Search for Picasa, Picnik, or Gimp just to name a few. They are all free photo editing programs.
Q. My non profit wants to place a paid ad on one of the swap sites. How much does it cost?
A. We always love to help any non profit organization.
